Hi. I'm Deka. When I was a kid, I wanted to be strong. As I noticed the strongest people were muscular, I started doing bicep curls with car engine parts I snuck into my bedroom. In college, I founded Canvas Muscle Fitness Studio with the same goal in mind. I focused on helping people get fit and never considered nutrition. . . for myself too. I looked good on the outside, but my insides felt horrible.


My training for the Muscle Mania bodybuilding contest taught me fitness is more than muscle building. To achieve true fitness, we need to be healthy from the inside out adopt a fitness lifestyle. This applies to busy moms, corporate executives, and bodybuilders.

From that moment on, I took a holistic health approach to fitness. I got certified in nutrition and went from being a personal trainer to a lifestyle fitness personal trainer. The pivot changed my life and the lives of my busy clients.

Enrolling a small number of participants helps us give everyone personalized care.

5. How do I access the kettlebell workouts?

Once you enroll, download the TrueCoach app or sign in on a laptop or computer to access your workouts 24/7.

6. What if I’m not sure how to perform a particular workout?

Each workout comes with an example video.

7. How am I held accountable?

The TrueCoach app tracks your workout. If you haven’t been completing them, one of our certified coaches will reach out to you.

8. What if I have an injury?

Workout plans are customized so we’ll devise a plan around your injury. Just let your coach know.

9. Why is nutrition included?

Exercise alone is not enough to lose or maintain our weight. Plus, we can’t out-exercise a bad diet. For instance, a Starbucks toasted white chocolate mocha is 420 calories. That means a 180-pound adult would need to walk at 2 mph for two hours and 35 minutes to burn it off.

10. Why should I get a customized plan?

You can create more progress over time by varying and changing exercises in your routine. In addition, rotating your exercises every so often can reduce injury risk.

11. Can you provide details regarding the online community?

After joining, you’ll receive an invitation to our Facebook community. As a member you are able to participate in fitness challenges and compete for prizes.

12. Are kettlebells permitted on flights?

You can check your kettlebell on an airplane provided it falls within your airline's weight guidelines. Another option is to purchase a portable sand kettlebell and fill it with sand. Sand can be purchased at Home Depot or Lowe's; the cost is about $5.

13. What if I don't want to travel with the kettlebell?

You will still receive a customized workout plan. Just let us know the type of equipment you have access to.

14. What is your cancellation policy?

The majority of our clients have been with us for years, but if you ever decide to cancel, we would hate to see you go. Please provide a 30-day written notice to begin the process.

15. Can I get a refund?

In the event you need to take a break, your membership rolls over to the following month. If you'd like to cancel, please provide a 30-day written notice to begin the process.
