Hi. I'm Deka. When I was a kid, I wanted to be strong, so I started doing bicep curls with car engine parts I snuck into my bedroom. In college, I founded Canvas Muscle Fitness Studio. I focused on physical fitness but never considered nutrition. I looked good on the outside, but my insides felt horrible.


Training for the Muscle Mania Bodybuilding Contest taught me to incorporate fitness and nutrition.

From that moment on, I took a holistic health approach to fitness. I got certified in nutrition and went from being a personal trainer to a lifestyle fitness personal trainer. The pivot changed my life and the lives of my busy clients.

1. What sets Canvas Muscle apart from other remote trainers?

Health and fitness are our passion so we teach life-changing habits regimented to your lifestyle.

2. Can anyone join?

Yes, the program is open to all fitness levels.

3. How many times per week are the virtual trainings?

We meet virtually once a week and provide one-on-one fitness training along with fitness nutrition coaching. For the rest of the week, your workouts will be uploaded in the TrueCoach app. There will be how-to videos loaded with each exercise.

4. How am I held accountable?

First, the app tracks the number of workouts you complete. If a coach sees you are missing a few during the week, he will contact you. Plus, our virtual meetings are designed to keep you accountable and motivated.

5. What if I have an injury?

Workout plans are customized so we’ll devise a plan around your injury. Just let your coach know.

6. Why is nutrition included?

Exercise alone is not enough to lose or maintain our weight. Plus, we can’t out-exercise a bad diet. For instance, a Starbucks toasted white chocolate mocha is 420 calories. That means a 180-pound adult would need to walk at 2 mph for two hours and 35 minutes to burn it off.

7. Can you provide details regarding the online community?

After joining, you’ll receive an invitation to our Facebook community. As a member you are able to participate in fitness challenges and compete for prizes.

8. What is your cancellation policy?

The majority of our clients have been with us for years, but if you ever decide to cancel, we would hate to see you go. Please provide a 30-day written notice to begin the process.

9. Can I get a refund?

In the event you need to take a break, your membership rolls over to the following month. If you'd like to cancel, please provide a 30-day written notice to begin the process.
